Wayne Paul Mullins, age 79, of Jeffersonville, KY passed away Friday, April 30,2021 at his home after an extended illness. He was born February 10,1942 in Frenchburg,KY to William Dock Mullins and Ollie Day Mullins. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for Walker Construction. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior.
Surviving are his wife, Jane Ann Becraft Mullins. Two daughters; Tonya (Fred) Crouch of Jeffersonville,KY. Andrea (Clay) Back of Lexington,KY. Grandchildren, Olivia Rose Crouch, Alexander Back. Three sisters: Kathleen (Earnest Earl) Brown of Frenchburg,KY, Bonnie (Jimmy) Boyd of Stanton,KY. Bettie Mullins of Frenchburg,KY. Special sister-in-law, Linda Becraft Haddix of Jeffersonville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Dock Mullins and Ollie Day Mullins, six brothers Reese Mullins, Clarence “Peck” Mullins, Sherwood Mullins, Shelby Mullins, Arlie Mullins and Kenneth Mullins. Two sisters, Madge Smallwood and Reva Mae Craig.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm,Tuesday, May 4,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Pastor Jimmy Daulton officiating. Burial in the Egelston Cemetery, Tarr Ridge Rd.,Frenchburg, KY, with Military Honors conducted by the Corbie Ellington American Legion Post # 126, Morehead, KY.
Visitation will be 11:30am Tuesday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey Funeral Director.
Active pallbearers: Alexander Back, Kyle Wilson, Anthony Becraft, Forrest (Bimbo) Mullins, Ronnie Mullins, Glenn Mullins. Honorary pallbearers: Jimmy Boyd, Keaton Jani, Olivia Rose Crouch.
COVID-19 mandate/regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
