William Curtis Becraft, age 86, of Becraft Road,Means,Kentucky,passed away Tuesday,December 20,2011,at St.Joseph Hospital,Mt.Sterling,Kentucky after an extended illness.
He was born May 9,1925 in Hawkins Branch,Kentucky ,and was the son of the late Herman Becraft and Carrie Williams Becraft. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Van Lisa Becraft, a grandson, Donnie Jay Davis, two sisters, Icy Rose and Beulah Reed and four brothers, Stanley Becraft, Earnest Becraft, William Herman Becraft Jr and Tom Becraft and a daughter-in-law, Linda Marie Becraft. He was a member of the Slate Creek Pentecostal Church,Means,Kentucky and was a retired construction foreman and dozer operator.
He is survived by his wife of many years, Kathy Thomas Becraft of Means,Kentucky. Six daughters, Sue & Leonard Wilson and Linda & Virgil Haddix of Jeffersonville,Ky. Barbara & Raymond Frederick of Cynthiana,Ky. Jane & Wayne Paul Mullins of Means,Ky. Nena & Jonathan Netcher of Scott Depot, W.VA.and Carrie Becraft of Means.,Ky. Two sons, Stephen & Myra Becraft of Frenchburg,Ky and Anthony Becraft of Jeffersonville,Ky. One brother, Raymond & Lucille Becraft of Means,Ky. Eighteen grandchildren, Thirty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be conducted 1;PM, Friday, December 23,2011,at Menifee Home For Funerals with Bro.Larry Williams officiating. Burial in the Curt Becraft Family Cemetery, Means,Ky. Visitation 6;PM Thursday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg,Ky.
