Zoia "Jo" (Brown) Murphy

Zoia “Jo”  Murphy, age 76, of Wellington, KY passed away Monday, April 26,2021 at her home after an extended illness. Born October 13,1944 in Frenchburg, Ky to Grace Lee Amburgey Brown and Rexall Brown. She was a member of the Pomeroyton Union Church.  Zoia was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her passion was taking care of her family and quilting. She hand made many beautiful quilts.

Surviving are her husband Roger Murphy, Wellington,KY. Two daughters, Denita Neville (Matt), of Frisco,Texas. Kristy Murphy (Billy Williams) of Wellington,KY. One son, Dale Murphy (Freda) of Denniston,KY. Five Grandchildren; Cassondra Palazzo (Benny Williams), Tori Hilkens (Matt Hilkens), Joseph Murphy (Kaleigh Murphy), Chase Williams & Brady Burberry, Three great grandchildren; Everett Palazzo, Jonathan Conley, Coming soon Stratton Williams. Three bonus grandchildren; Sarah Neville, Daniel Neville, Gage Williams, One bonus great grandchild, Cayson Williams.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Lee Amburgey Brown & Rexall Brown, One sister, Brenda Lilly, One brother Vermont Brown.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, April 30,2021 at Menifee Home For Funerals with Rev. Terry Wells officiating. Burial in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation will be 6:00pm, Thursday at Menifee Home For Funerals, Frenchburg, KY with Randy Halsey, Funeral Director.

Active Pallbearers: Joseph Murphy, Chase Williams, Brady Burberry, Billy Williams, Matt Neville, and Tim Brown. Honorary Pallbearers: Greg Murphy, Wayne Murphy, Jacob Murphy, Chris Bartley, Kenny Culbertson, and Tim Adams.

COVID-19 mandate/regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
